You will need:

Hook: J - 6mm

Yarn: Redheart Med 4 Worsted

Stitch Markers

Scissors

Needle 

Rnd 1: 7 hdc in magic circle, sl st to beg st, ch 1
Rnd 2: 2 hdc in beg st & in rem sts, sl st to beg st, ch 1 (14 hdc)
Rnd 3: 2 hdc in beg st & in rem sts, sl st to beg st, ch 1 (28 hdc)
Rnd 4: hdc in beg st & in every stitch around, sl st to beg st, ch 1 (28 hdc)
Rnd 5-14: repeat Rnd 4

Row 15: hdc in next 20 sts, turn. 
Row 16: loosely sl st across, ch 1, turn. (Note: On sl st rows "do not" ch 1)
(Note: you will not be working in the sl sts, you will be ignoring the sl sts & working back into the hdc sts)
Row 17-33: repeat rows 15 & 16
sl st back of slipper closed

Opening of slipper
Rnd 1: sl st to back of slipper, hdc in same st, hdc in every hdc space until you reach the front corner of the slipper opening. Make 1 hdc dec, hdc across until you reach the next front corner opening. Make 1 hdc dec, hdc across rem hdc spaces, sl st to 1st hdc, ch 1
Rnd 2: hdc around making 1 hdc dec in each front corner of the slipper opening.
fasten off.

Trim (optional)
Change color
Rnd 1: sl st to back of slipper, ch 1, sc in every st, sl st to beg st.
Rnd 2: ch 3, sl st to next st, repeat around, join.
finish off. Tie in ends.
