Olaf Christmas Stocking

Just finished making this for my Granddaughter for next Christmas :)

The stocking pattern is out of crochet world Dec 2013. The instructions on doing the heal were not easy to understand so I just winged it & it turned out. I changed the Top part of the stocking bc I wanted to be able to put my granddaughters name in it. The last two rows of the top of the sock are from the pattern.

The body of the sock is what I would call a seed stitch if I were knitting. What ever stocking pattern you use as long as it is a odd number. Like for example this one had 49 sc in the round, So if your pattern was 35 or 39 it would work with that pattern. For the seed stitch in crochet all you do is alternate front loop, back loop around. The top of the sock I did reverse sc. I found it gave it a finished look. You can see it here
