Olaf Crochet Pillow Instruction Notes

This is not a pattern. It is nearly a guide to show how I used the Olaf chart I made to make the pillow. It is helpful to have graph paper to chart out the facial features so that you can use them as a guide to compare size & shaping. I posted a illustration of the nose below on how I did this. I will be updating the guide as I crochet my 2nd Olaf pillow. Happy Crocheting!

I hope to in the future complete a written pattern to share.

Example: R2: +2 (This means you need to make 2 increases on the left side. So you would increase 1 stitch in each of the last 2 sc stitches.) +3 (This means you need to make 3 increases on the right side. So you would increase 1 stitch in each of the last 3 sc stitches.)

Example: R62: -1(This means you need to make a decrease. So you will either sc2tog or you can skip one sc & sc into the last sc stitch.) 0 (This means there is no increase or decrease)

Tip: You can use different color stitch markers or just use different color pieces of yarn to mark the left & right side.

Olaf Eyes (Make 2):
R1: Using black dc 12 in magic circle, join with a sl st, ch 2
R2: 2 dc in each dc, join with a sl st, ch 2
Change to white
R3: hdc in every 2nd st. join with a sl st, ch 1 (36 hdc)
R4: (Increase in every 2nd) This is including the increases. 19 dc, 12 hdc, 8 dc, 7 hdc, SL st to beginning leaving long tail for sewing.

Olaf head branches (Make 2 of each & sew together)
1st branch:
R1: ch 24, sc in 2nd ch & in rem ch's, ch 1 turn
R2: sc in next 11 dc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 3 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 6 sc, ch 1 turn
R3: sc in each st, leave long tail for sewing.

2nd branch:
R1: Ch 32, sc in 2nd ch & in rem ch's, ch 1 turn
R2: Sc in next 20 sc, sc 3 in next sc, sc in next 4 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 5 sc, ch 1 turn
R3: sc in each st, leave long tail for sewing.

3rd branch:
R1: Ch 27, sc in 2nd ch & in rem ch's, ch 1 turn
R2: Sc in next 8 sc, 3 sc in next, sc in next 5 sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in rem sc, ch 1 turn
R3: sc in each st, leave long tail for sewing.

4th branch:
R1: Ch 14, sc in 2nd ch & in rem ch's, ch 1 turn

When I finished I sewed them all together. Then I put them in order & sc them together with 2 or 3 rows so that I had a little tab to make it easier to attach them & sew them in place in the seam of the pillow.
